Conferencing and Meeting Facilities at CORE
There is now an alternative to the traditional meeting venue. Set in rural Nottinghamshire within the largest willow plantation in the world, it has good access to road, rail and local airports. CORE is unique in having been built as a sustainable conference and office suite which not only utilises the latest green technologies but measures them in real time so that you know the exact impact of your meeting on the environment. Environmental Impact of the CORE Building
Using state of the art monitoring equipment, we are able to calculate in real time our self sufficiency in terms of energy production and the pay back for each item of equipment.
We can calculate in real time, heating, electricity and water consumption and generation. Also we can calculate how much energy is generated from our wind turbine situated on the CORE site. A novel feature is that when you book a meeting room at CORE we can measure the impact in terms of energy used.
Willow Production at CORE
The Centre of Renewable Energy is surrounded by the largest willow plantation in Europe and supplies a wide range of renewable energy products including biomass fuel, biomass boilers, wood fuel stoves, ground and air source heat pumps, solar heating and many more. more
Our Willow plantations provide havens for birds, mammals and insects. We only harvest in the winter, providing minimal disturbance to this wildlife. Watch Video
CORE Facility Visits & Tours
Sustainable Energies Awareness Day - Spend a day hearing about and looking at the various types of renewable energy equipment available, whilst gaining a better understanding of the Government’s FITs and RHI initiatives.
Site Tour - Walk and talk session around the site including Wind Turbine and Willow fields. Educational packages and tours can be arranged, as required.
