The Objectives
The Objectives, developed further, later in the business plan are to:
- Provide a One Stop Shop area where anyone, from individuals to
business groups can visit, ideally by appointment to observe a range of energy technologies working and make direct comparisons. Advice will be available and independent information provided. Most of the technologies will be incorporated into the fabric structure to show 'real-time' operation; others will be on show for completeness. CORE will be used to demonstrate and make available renewable energy technologies and expertise. It will be a showroom for all major forms of sustainable energy management, demonstrating working examples and metering their efficiency, cost, carbon savings and outputs. The business is not aware of any facility like this in England, and certainly not in the East Midlands.
- Office space (should it be called managed workspace?) will be let to the rapidly growing renewables sector. Hoval of Newark, Nottinghamshire, www.hoval.co.uk are already in negotiation for one area.
- Providing a training/meeting facility with a spread of rooms for training in renewables, but adapted for all use. Tenants of the existing offices do not have such meeting facilities and all tenants will be able to take advantage.
- Create additional income.
